Kelly Swickard is a cataloging and metadata librarian who has over ten years’ experience working in academic librarianship. Currently, she works as the Metadata and Linked Data Strategist at Project MUSE. Her interactions with library users and researchers has driven her to focus on find-ability and accessibility of resources through clear and organized data. She hopes that linked open data can formulate an increased global data program and standardization. Using and transforming metadata into functional discovery process, is one of her primary goals. Other goals are to create more inclusive metadata and to strive for greater ethical cataloging standards. She hopes that open access can lead the way. .
